I am so excited to be starting on my planning for the puppet wedding of the century! I know everyone here is just as excited as I am 😉 With that in mind I thought I’d share some of where we are on the planning process. I want to keep some details a little quite but today I am here to tell you about the best party, the honeymoon!! Horatio and I talked to a travel agent from Shady Side Travel in Pittsburgh PA. They were super helpful for my questions and I am here to not only give you a sneak peek to where we will be going but some help if you are looking for a place.

Mark: Hello Joe, how are you today?
Joe (Travel Agent): Hello, I am good today. You caught me at a good time, what can I do to help you with your honeymoon plans?
Mark: Well my first question is what is the most popular destinations for honeymoons right now?
Joe (Travel Agent): Depends on what you and your SO are looking for. Are you looking for a beach and relax or activates and sightseeing, or a mixture of that?
The most popular destinations are Hawaii, Mexico and islands in the Caribbean. For a honeymoon in May there is good weather.
Best combo for sight-seeing and things to do Mexico (rivara Maya). It has the beach and sight-seeing as well as easy access from the airport. Cancun is a good newly built up area, really enjoyed by other couples.

St Lucia is pretty lush, and has plenty of things to see and do. They tend to be more nature type activities. It is a little bit of treck from the airport to the resorts but that would be included in the initial payment.

Mark: Wow, alright. That gives us a lot of options in these two areas. What are the normal price range for both of the areas you mentioned?
Joe (Travel Agent): In Mexico normal budge 3000 to 5000 (1 week) for a resort. (All inclusive) St. L little more 4500 to 5500 range 2 people and a week (air fare, transfers, all inclusive)
Mark: Ok that isn’t bad at all! We were wondering what you could tell us about problems in this process that we can run in when using a travel agency?
Joe (Travel Agent): Normally there are no challenges, passports are needed and might be the hardest thing you have to do on your end. Tell us what you want, and we do all the work. We would send you to a resort.
The hardest part in general is just sending the money in on time to get exactly what you want. You need the deposit so you get exactly what you will want when it comes to rooms and privacy.
Quick side note: Swim out rooms lack privacy so be careful. Different club levels. Keep in mind with the budging.

Mark: Alright! I think this is plenty to have us getting started on our search! We will be in contact soon with a final choice on where we would want to go and will be ready to book
Joe (Travel Agent): We can’t wait to hear from you!
Mexico or St. Lucia? What should we do? We would love to hear from you all for some advice! We like both. Comment here or on our social media (@markthewizard69)
