Hiya Folks!
This is the time of year where mental health really starts to hit. It becomes harder to deal with and we can feel alone. I watched my ex-wife go though it year after year. She would smile like she was okay but she was hurting. Her head was telling her things that were not true. Eventually she couldn’t take it and left. I knew that she was hurting but it seemed like everything I did made the situation worse and hurt my mental health. What we all sometimes forget it we are never alone and it is a huge show of strength to ask for help.

Here are some tips to help when you are in a bad space.
- Take care of your body! I can be hard but walking, eating right, and not drinking/smoking can do a world of good. Sometimes it can even make you feel like a new human.
- Do something outside of yourself. Volunteer your time at a local food shelter or help with local literacy. Helping someone outside of yourself can gives you a tangible reason for happiness.
- Break out of your routine! Doing the same thing over and over can be tedious. It can also make it harder to be surprised. Change things up a bit and you will be amazed at what can happen.
- Get Help. When all else fails reaching out for help is the safest and best thing that can be done to make you feel better.
I hope this is a starting place for a lot of good things. With oodles of love,
