So today we are going to hit on the differences in China and more western countries! Some of them are a little more well known and other parts are something you won’t know until you are actually there.
One: Bathrooms!

Crazy as this may be to Western Countries the bathrooms are very very different. When going to the restroom in China there are a few rules. When going to the restroom you need to bring your own toilet paper. The bathrooms won’t have any and it is a real bind when you do not have any. The next thing that you need to know is that most rest rooms in public are squaty potties or ones you have to squat down on to. This seems weird to people from the USA but less space! Also do not forget as you leave the restroom do not flush your paper! Toilet paper is thrown into the trash NOT the toilet itself! You do not want to be the reason there is a giant clog.
Two: Going out to eat

When I was going out to eat in China there we times when I went out to eat! Shocker haha! There are a few differences. For one, in my experience, most places have small restaurants. There are a lot of them but the buildings itself is small. Then when you get drinks the water you get is either tea or just hot water! This is due to the water not being clean and the belief that hot water is just better for you. Then once you order in the smaller places you will pay as soon as you can/want. The way you can do that is by using your phone! That’s right everyone, unlike in the U.S, you can pay using your phone! Its magic.
Three: Lines
So one thing I learned is that there is really no such thing as a proper line. Most people will push to get where they want to. If you are not willing to push to get to the front of the line then poof! Nothing left for you!
I hope this gave you a funny look at the Culture of China and I hope that you will have the chance to see it yourself!
