Chinese Language Lesson Twelve

Hello All! I am so excited, today we will be discussing 还是 (haishi)!

So 还是 is a way to say one or the other. 还是 translates well into “or”. What is special about 还是 is that it can only be used in questions. In English that would be, “Would you like tea or coffee?”

The sentence is structured as: Subject + Verb +Option A +还是+ Option B.
An example is “你要喝茶还是咖啡” Would you like tea or coffee.

So today is a short lesson but its full of so much goodness that you just gotta love it! Next week we will be going back to basics and doing some basic introductions!

With Love,
Mark Oliver Wizard Goldstein
